QF5 sanitary ball valve is a sanitary ball valve designed for product transmission. It is widely used in food, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
The full bore design of valve chamber does not cause any fluid resistance. This makes QF5 sanitary ball valve the optimum choice for treating viscous liquid or liquid containing particulates.
Operating Principle
A precision made ball with through chamber is set in the valve body between two flanges and two PTFE valve seats. The valve shaft can act on the ball by 90° rotation and make the valve open or closed.
QF5 sanitary ball valve is operated by a pneumatic actuator or manually operated by a handle. There are three configurations for QF5 sanitary ball valve.
QF5-1 sanitary ball valve is a three-piece ball valve, consisting of two flanges, one valve body and two PTFE valve seats. It is installed with threaded ends. Valve seat cleaning adapters can be installed to clean the valve chamber. The drainage is discharged from the drainage hole.
QF5-2 sanitary ball valve is a three-way ball valve. It has two configurations: T type and L type. It consists of one valve body, valve covers and PTFE valve seats. It is installed with threaded ends.
QF5-3 sanitary ball valve is a two-piece ball valve, consisting of one valve body, valve adapters and two PTFE valve seats. It is installed with clamped ends. Valve seat cleaning adapters can be installed to clean the valve chamber. The drainage is discharged from the drainage hole.

Medium Flow Direction Diagram of Three-way Ball Valve
Three-way ball valve is used for diffluence or confluence. It is a multi-port ball valve with two-side or four-side valve seats. Every port can be used as an entrance, causing no leakage. Three-way ball valve has an L-shaped or T-shape port.
